On October 6, 2025, in Hanoi, the Department of Innovation, Green Transition and Industrial Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) organized a training programme on “Financial Analysis of Energy Efficiency Investment Projects.

This training course is part of the project “Accelerating energy efficiency in large industries through energy management systems, system optimisation and the promotion and adoption of energy efficiency in small and medium-sized enterprises” (IEEP Project), funded by the European Union (EU). The Ministry of Industry and Trade is the implementing agency, while the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) serves as the executing partner.

Ms. Nguyễn Thị Lâm Giang, Director General of the Agency for Innovation, Green Transition and Industry Promotion (IGIP), MOIT, delivered the opening remarks for the training programme.

In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Lâm Giang emphasized the core benefits of the course “Financial Analysis of Energy Efficiency Investment Projects” for Vietnam’s economy, society, and environment. For industrial enterprises, it enhances financial efficiency and cash flow optimization, thereby improving competitiveness and modern management practices. For the green finance and sustainable investment ecosystem, it strengthens access to green capital and financing sources by demonstrating financial feasibility and controlled risks. From the perspective of innovation and sustainable development, it encourages enterprises to invest in energy-saving technologies and efficient management solutions. For Vietnam’s social and environmental benefits, it contributes to emission reduction, energy security, and the achievement of national sustainable development goals.
