The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), acting on behalf of the Government of Viet Nam, holds the overall responsibility for the implementation of the SETP.
Specifically, the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority (EREA), the Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development (DEESD) and the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Viet Nam (ERAV) cooperate with the entrusted entities (OXFAM, Stantec in consortium with CEERD, DEM and SNV, UNIDO and GGGI) implementing the four complementary support measures to ensure a satisfactory implementation of these projects.
The direct beneficiaries of the SETP are the Government of Viet Nam, MOIT and its subsidiary institutions, and other energy stakeholders such as other Ministries, Provincial People’s Committee, the National Assembly, social organisations, think tanks and the private sector, and others. The ultimate beneficiaries are the citizens of Viet Nam, who will benefit from cleaner energy and cleaner air.
