No. Each team is responsible for forming its own team of 3-5 members, with at least one female member.
Teams may list all universities/organisations or name one representative university/organisation.
Not all team members required to participate in the briefing session and the Award Ceremony. These activities will be held in person in Hanoi. EVSET Facility will support travel, accommodation, and meal costs for team members outside Hanoi.
Teams are not required to communicate about all four themes. A team may choose one suitable theme or connect several related themes; however, the Organisers encourage teams to focus on a specific issue to ensure a clear direction, consistent content, and sufficient depth. (See Section 2.1 of the Rules & Guidelines.)
Teams may choose a specific topic or a broader theme, provided that the issue falls within the scope of the competition themes. In all cases, the idea should be presented clearly, creatively, and accessibly, and should focus on a specific issue.
Each team may submit more than one Concept Note; however, if selected, only one proposal from each team will be implemented.
No. Teams must comply with the word limits or length limits specified in each section of the Concept Note Template, while presenting content concisely and clearly and focusing on the required information.
Yes. Teams may submit supplementary documents, including links where relevant. These supplementary materials should be included at the end of the Concept Note Template. The evaluation will still focus mainly on the information provided in the main sections of the Concept Note Template.
The Organisers expect creative, fresh, and feasible ideas that demonstrate young people’s own perspectives and approaches to the topic of sustainable energy transition. The detailed selection criteria applied by the evaluation committee have been published on the competition website at https://setp.vn/watts-up/.
Teams may use AI tools to support the creation of illustrative images for their ideas in the Concept Note. However, the use of AI tools to produce communications products for the communication campaign is not allowed.
For the competition’s submission form, each team only needs one representative to complete the form and submit the Concept Note.
16 August 2026 is the Concept Note submission deadline. (See Section 6 – Indicative Timeline.)
Teams may revise and resubmit their proposal before the Concept Note submission deadline of 16 August 2026.
Vietnamese is the main language used for applications, communication content, and the competition’s events. For events involving international representatives, the Organisers will announce the language arrangements and provide appropriate interpretation support.
No. Certificates will only be issued to the five teams selected for the campaign implementation phase. (See Section 8 – Awards and Benefits)
The Organisers encourage teams’ communication campaigns to continue creating impact after the competition ends. At the Award Ceremony, teams selected for the implementation phase may present the impact and scalability of their campaign content for the jury’s evaluation.
The minimum reach of 1,000 people applies to the total reach of the entire campaign during the four-week implementation period, not to individual posts. (See Section 7.2 of the Rules & Guidelines.)
Yes. Organic reach and paid reach are both counted toward the total audience reached by the campaign.
The 70 points awarded by the Jury evaluation will be allocated as follows: Content relevance and accuracy (5 points); Creativity (20 points); Storytelling (20 points); Impact and scalability (15 points); and Presentation (pitching) (10 points).
The Organisers evaluate newly created communication channels and channels with a large existing follower base equally. The current size of a channel’s follower base is not a factor that affects the evaluation results.
The Organisers will only check whether the links to the communication channels provided in the application are active.
Yes. However, all content planned for posting through partner channels must still comply with the competition rules and be agreed with the Organisers before publication.
Yes. Teams may create a new fanpage or use a collaborative page, provided that at least one team member is the owner or administrator of the page, as required by the competition rules.
Yes. Teams must ensure that information and data are accurate; use legally permitted sources; provide complete citations; and comply with intellectual property law when using related content, images, or data. If teams interview experts or use their images or personal information, they must obtain consent from the relevant persons.
Communication campaigns must be implemented on Facebook and/or Instagram. With the Organisers’ agreement, teams may use additional platforms or communication channels to help increase the visibility and reach of the campaign’s Facebook and/or Instagram pages. However, reach will only be counted for the campaign’s Facebook and/or Instagram pages.
Teams may not make changes to approved content on their own. Any adjustments to the plan or content must be discussed and agreed with the Organisers before implementation.
Yes. Teams should clearly distinguish WATT’S UP campaign content from other content. Only reach and engagement results from campaign content generated during the implementation period set by the Organisers will be recorded and counted in the evaluation.
No. Teams may not use the name, capacity, logo, or information of the sponsor or organizers to connect with, seek sponsorship from, or invite other organizations or individuals to support their team.
