The comprehensive research includes a situation assessment of Vietnam’s energy sector in areas of RE and EE, and research on four target groups of the project including governmental bodies (the public sector); micro- small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and commercial banks/financial institutions; the media network; as well as men and women in Ha Noi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Lao Cai, Nghe An, and Bac Lieu. The target audience research gathers insights on the current perceptions, attitudes, and behaviours relating to RE/EE particularly zooming in gender sensitivity.

The research findings will serve as a cornerstone of enhancing capacity and raising awareness activities on gender sensitive RE/EE for the target groups, which include national campaign(s), community creative communications, training, coaching, networking events, media engagement and more.

The research was conducted by Oxfam in Vietnam, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and the Vietnam Journalism Association (VJA).
