Viet Nam has officially launched the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) portal – a strategic milestone in the country’s efforts to meet its commitments on emissions reduction and sustainable energy development.
The portal, accessible at https://jetp.moit.gov.vn, has been developed by the Authority of Innovation, Green Transition and Industrial Promotion (IGIP) under the MOIT, in collaboration with the Electricity Authority of Viet Nam, the International Partners Group (IPG), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It serves as the central communication platform providing transparent, timely, and comprehensive information on the implementation progress of the JETP in Viet Nam.
The launch marks a significant step toward strengthening stakeholder engagement in advancing a low-carbon, sustainable future. The portal acts as a vital link between the JETP Secretariat, the IPG, the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), and other key stakeholders. In particular, it aims to connect with project proponents and developers to catalyze project implementation under the JETP framework.
Beyond delivering timely and transparent updates on JETP activities, the portal offers a comprehensive overview of strategies, action plans, progress reports, cooperation opportunities, as well as information on policy dialogues, events, and related initiatives. It plays a crucial role in fostering greater awareness, connectivity, and collaboration among diverse stakeholders – from government agencies, development partners, and the private sector to local communities and the general public.
Looking ahead, the JETP portal will continue to evolve, with ongoing upgrades and the addition of new features designed to enhance user experience. These enhancements will support more effective communications and ensure the timely dissemination of key developments and outcomes in the implementation of the JETP in Viet Nam.
